26th May to 3rd June 2018
British Canoeing are calling it ‘The Big Adventure’ and here at Skern we are joining in too.
All over the country you will have the opportunity to find a place near you where you can join in. Outdoor Centres, clubs and leisure parks across the UK are offering a range of sessions with all kit provided.
Visit the British Canoeing ‘Go Canoeing Week’ website to find your local provider.
Being on a tidal river we are limited with the amount of water for paddling and so we are only able to offer a kayaking sessions on the morning of Friday 1st June. If you would like to book on this session then give Flavia a call on reception to book in. Being half term we have lots of other activities on offer throughout the week. See our full programme here: https://docs.wixstatic.com/ugd/d03764_116aa4d210ba473cb8953cb457c1f7ba.pdf
Remember canoeing is a general term, so it’s not just closed in kayaks and open canoes, it also includes other paddle sports like stand-up paddle boarding and more stable and accessible sit-on-top kayaks. There are great opportunities for starter sessions, guided tours, large events and even the chance to clock up your own miles. So don’t miss out visit the website and get yourself on the water and have a great time.
Don't forget to come back and tell us about your ‘Big Adventure’!
