ASSOCIATE ASSESSMENT DEVELOPER
Associate Assessment Development group member: Outdoor Instructor Apprenticeships - Freelance, £200 per day Pro Rata

What you’ll be doing:
We seek assessment development experts to create diverse and high-quality materials, including question banks, case studies, and scenario-based questions. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the validity, reliability, and relevance of our assessment tasks and materials.
We are specifically looking for professionals with a background in Outdoor Development and Activity Instruction. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience at a senior level in the outdoor industry, up-to-date CPD, and current practice in the field.
Qualifications we are providing EPA for are:
Level 3 Outdoor Activity Instructor
Level 5 Oudoor Learning Specialist
Key Responsibilities:

Utilise expertise to develop and review assessment tasks, mark sheets, and other materials.

Ensure that all assessment materials align with our assessment development process and meet our quality standards.

Collaborate with a team of technical advisors to shape the assessment development process.

Responsively address recommendations from the review and scrutiny group.

Act upon feedback and analysis when refining assessment design.
Minimum Requirements:

Strong understanding and qualification in End-Point Assessment processes, with knowledge of Assessment design.

At least 2 years working in the outdoor industry at an instructor trainer level
Desirable Experience/Skills:

Previous experience as an assessment developer.

Familiarity with assessment methodologies.

Professional in Outdoor Learning
To excel in this role, you should be capable of effectively chairing online meetings and consolidating responses from the assessment development team. You will thrive under tight deadlines and possess excellent communication and IT skills. As an expert in the field, you will have the opportunity to review and scrutinise our assessment development process, providing valuable feedback and recommendations for improvement. Your input will directly contribute to shaping the future of our apprentices and their successful transition to the next stage of their careers.
Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with a team to review assessments within designated timelines.

Provide feedback and make recommendations for enhancements to the assessment development group.

Ensure assessments align with the assessment plan, promoting equality and fairness.

Evaluate the language used in assessments to ensure suitability for the qualification level.

Ensure materials are gender-neutral and free from bias.

Assess marking criteria for appropriateness and alignment with grade expectations.

Verify that assessments cover the required knowledge, skills, and behaviours.

Establish clear control arrangements for assessors and apprentices.
Minimum Requirements:
